Special tribute paid to Lily on Founder’s Day
Coronavirus restrictions meant this year’s event involved an online service on Monday evening.
Canon Andrew Sage, from St Stephen-on-the-Cliffs Church in North Shore, led a service and highlighted the courage and adventure of Baden Powell.

Amy Southern, Scout leader, said: “51st St Stephen-on-the-Cliffs hosted a virtual Founder’s Day service this year.
“We were welcomed by Nichola Bonsor, who is the group Scout leader for 51st St Stephen-on-the-Cliffs.
“This was followed by a short service led by Canon Andrew who talked about Lord Baden-Powell and his legacy.

“This service was then followed with the members of 51st Blackpool renewing their sectional promises and to finish off we had a sing-a-long.”
Blackpool District Beavers also held their own celebration via Zoom the same evening when they renewed their promise.
