Cafe garden memorials to Barbara and Marlene
Coun Barbara Nash, who died aged 66 last December during a trip to see family in Scotland, has been commemorated with a memorial stone in the garden of the Naafi cafe in Wood Street.
Barbara, whose Heyhouses ward seat on Fylde Council has since been won by her daughter Sally, worked closely with husband Ed to establish the Naafi cafe, which has proved a big success since opening to the public last year.

Proceeds from the cafe go towards Fylde Veterans funds and Ed has ambitions to expand the venture to other locations.
“Barbara was a great believer in the idea of the Naafi cafe in the town centre and would have been very proud of how well it is doing,” said Ed.
“It is a fitting place to site a lasting memorial to her.”
