Aircraft man left woman with rib fractures
Simon Young assaulted the victim on January 1 and 2, breaking four of her ribs.
Young had kicked the woman all over her body as she lay on the floor, leaving her black and blue and in agony.

Hide AdYoung, 41, of Denstone Avenue, Bispham, Blackpool, pleaded guilty to two offences of assault, causing actual bodily harm and one offence of assaulting another woman.
Pam Smith, prosecuting, said that on January 1 the woman said Young was in a bad mood and when she answered him back he repeatedly kicked her on the thigh and prodded her in the chest.

The following day they returned home after drinks with friends.
Young grabbed one of the victim’s female friends by the hair.

Hide AdHe then flung her on the floor and kicked her all over her body.
She was taken to hospital for treatment.
The prosecutor told Blackpool Magistrates’ Court: “The victim says she is terrified about what he would do if he was released from custody and feels she has got to get away from her home.”
Daniel Harman, defending, asked for bail for his client. He said Young was a highly specialist spray painter of aircraft, who worked all over the world.
He would lose a job he was currently working on in Norway if he had to remain in custody.

Hide AdThe defence added that Young said he had been hit over the back of the head on January 2 and could not remember what happened after that.
Young was remanded in custody for sentence at Preston Crown Court on January 28 by District Judge Jeff Brailsford.
