Prosecutor, Martine Connah, said a security officer monitoring CCTV at Sainsbury’s, Talbot Road, saw Stewart take a bottle of Disaronno valued at £15 and leave without paying on June 9 about 8.30pm.

The security officer followed him and tried to detain Stewart, but he escaped with the bottle

Robert Castle told magistrates: “He suffers from anxiety, depression and panic attacks and sometimes gets so stressed he is unable to say his own name.”
