Prosecutor, Jim Mowbray, said patrolling police in Queen Street were flagged down and told Sutton had punched a doorman on January 13.

When arrested Sutton, who was drunk, pulled away and had to be taken to the ground.

The doorman did not make a formal complaint as he had not suffered any injury. At the time of the offence Sutton was on a community order imposed by magistrates.

Brett Chappell, defending, said his client had a number of similarly convictions.

He said: “Her source of destruction in the past has been her addiction to alcohol. There has now been a decrease in her drinking and she is on the right path to combating her addiction.”
