Fans hunt for Pokemon on famous piers
Members of the Blackpool Pokemon GO Centre social media group will take to the streets this Thursday to hunt down virtual monsters using the popular new Pokemon Go app.
The game, which was released last month, allows people to track down and capture Pokemon in the real world using their mobile phones.

Hide AdPeople will be meeting at Game on Corporation Street at 11am on Thursday before setting off in search of the elusive Pikachu.
Event organiser Katie Phillips, 20, said: “We have had a lot of interest from people.
“We will be meeting at Game and then walking from North Pier to South Pier.
“The more people who turn up the better Pokemon will appear. The Comedy Carpet and Blackpool Tower all attract rare Pokemon.

Hide Ad“Anyone who turns up on the day will get a free code for Pokemon. In some of the games you can only get special Pokemon by using a code.
“We’re expecting a good event and everyone seems really excited for it, and the people at Game seem really excited too.”
