Mariah Carey set to perform at Blackpool Livewire Festival
One of the world's biggest selling female artists has been confirmed among the headline acts to play at this year's Livewire Festival.
Organisers had promised the 'biggest act ever to play' in the resort.

Hide AdThe announcement was made shortly after 8am that 'Without You' singer Mariah would be the headline act on the Friday night at the Tower Festival Headland on the Promenade.
Boyz II Men and Matt Goss have already been confirmed to play on the opening night of the festival on Thursday, August 23. Further headliners are expected to be announced in the coming days.
Last year Will Smith hit the headlines when he performed at the festival in front of a packed crowd of 20,000 people.
Mariah Carey - whose string of number one hits includes 'Vision of Love' and 'One Sweet Day', featuring Boyz II Men - has sold more than 200m records worldwide in a career spanning more than 20 years.
