Packed Marine Hall listens as local singers show off their talents
An audience of more than 500 was entertained by nine local choirs and singing groups.
They combined their talents to perform a thrilling version of You’ll Never Walk Alone and Climb Every Mountain, conducted by Alistair MacKenzie.

Hide AdThe evening was a fundraising event for Macmillan Cancer Support and collected more than £4,000 for the charity.
It was the brain child of Shirley Eracleous, of Dream Team Singers and Chrissie Turkington of Capricorn Singers. They were inspired by similar concerts at London’s Royal Albert Hall anddecided to bring it to the Fylde coast.
A spokesman said: “This was an occasion of which the whole Fylde coast should be proud, many a much bigger community would struggle to match the smooth efficiency of the event and as for Talent- we’ve got it in spades.
“Afterword – should anybody be anxious about the future of live music in the area let them be reassured by the confident and musically delightful performers of Shakespeare’s Elite School Choir – the future’s safe in their voices and enthusiasm.”
