The first heat has taken place of this year's Miss Junior Bispham beauty contest.

Now in its second year, the locally-based pageant is raising money for Cancer Research UK and sees Fylde coast girls and young teenagers battle it out to win the crown, sash and title of Miss Junior Bispham.

The first heat was held at Bispham Conservative Club, compered by Leonine Pemberton, Miss Crown And Glory, with judges including Coco Courtney – Little Miss Teen GB, Poppy Gorman – Miss Teen United Kingdom and Tara King – last year’s Miss Junior Bispham.
