Witness appeal after biker seriously hurt in Amounderness Way crash
The 61-year-old man, from Altrincham, suffered a broken arm and fractures to his back and ribs after his Triumph Trophy collided with a Mercedes car, close to the Norcross roundabout.
He was taken to Royal Preston Hospital following the accident, which happened at around 5.15pm yesterday, and he is now thought to be recovering.

Hide AdThe driver of the Mercedes, a 40-year-old woman from Carleton, was unhurt, police said.
Sgt David Hurst, of Lancashire Police, said: "We are appealing for information after a road traffic collision in Thornton.
"A man has been left with some serious injuries and we want to establish exactly what happened.
"We are keen to talk to anyone who saw either vehicle before the collision, or witnessed the incident, to contact us."
