Motorcyclist left with 'serious injuries' after crash in Pilling

An IVECO van collided with a Triumph Speed Twin motorcycle in Skitham Lane at around 5.10pm, police said.
The motorcyclist – a man aged in his 60s – was rushed to hospital with injuries that were initially thought to be life-changing.

Hide AdOfficers have now confirmed his injuries are "not thought to be as serious".
The road was closed for five hours while police attended the scene.
Detectives are now appealing for information and have urged anybody who witnessed the incident to get in touch.
Sgt Andrew Hemingway, of Lancashire Police’s TacOps team, said: "We are working hard to piece together exactly what occurred and are asking anybody with information, and who has not yet been spoken to by police, to contact us.
