VIPs threaten to breach Fylde fracking injunction
Fashion designer, Dame Vivienne Westwood and the Green Party Peer, Baroness Jenny Jones say they will come to the Preston New Road drilling site next month in a bid to prevent shale gas firm Cuadrilla from carrying out its first fracking since the Preese Hall earth tremors.
Cuadrilla has also now applied for permission from the Government to start fracking at the second horizontal well at the site near Little Plumpton.

On July 24, six anti-fracking protesters locked themselves together outside the site entrance to challenge the injunction which protesters say is draconian and goes against human rights to protest peacefully.
Supporters of fracking have complained that lock-on protests prevent firms from going about their lawful business and disrupt the local roads system causing delays for motorists.
Baroness Jones said: “I’m a very law-abiding citizen until the law doesn’t make sense anymore. And while I wouldn’t advocate anyone breaking the law, I would be prepared to come up to Preston New Road and break the injunction because it is a misguided way to prevent protest.
