Blackpool goalkeeper Dean Lyness was taken to hospital after hobbling off the pitch with an injury during yesterday's 1-1 draw against Cambridge.

The 25-year-old landed awkwardly after saving from former Blackpool loanee Uche Ikpeazu in the second half and suffered what is thought to be an ankle injury.

Speaking after the match, Pool boss Gary Bowyer revealed Lyness was taken to hospital.

"It's not good, I'm afraid," he said.
