The club’s head coach and keeper, both of whom were out of contract at the end of the season, have penned new deals to extend their time at Highbury.
Grayson, who had agreed a six-month contract when joining at the end of January, has been given a longer-term deal by owner Andy Pilley.

“We need to make sure you’re going to like us and we need to make sure that you’re going to be the right fit for us.
“It’s been reciprocal. It’s worked really well, recently in particular. We’ve been in excellent form.
“I see the players with a spring in their step and with a smile on their face, we’re winning games and earning lots of points.

Grayson had spent a year out of football before accepting the role at Highbury and he’s enjoying being back in business.
He said: “I had no hesitation in signing when Andy offered me the full-time job.
“We agreed when I first came that we’d both take a look at each other and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it.

“It’s a great football club to be at, with great facilities, and the players have responded to what we’ve asked them to do.
“I’m delighted to be here and hopefully we can have a long and successful partnership.”
Cairns has been first choice under Grayson and put pen to paper on a two-year contract.

He said: “It’s good for me to see that they all want me in that position and they want me at the football club.
“Committing to the football club was easy. Nobody sees the work that goes on behind the scenes, they just see what goes on on a Saturday or a Tuesday night.
“Making the commitment to the club was an easy decision. Of course, there were other offers out there, but I’m enjoying my football here and I have been for the last few years, so why would I want to change it?”
