Fleetwood Town's club secretary Steve Edwards has stepped down from his role at the club.

Edwards, a well known and respected member staff, made the club aware back in November of his wish to leave at the end of the 2016/17 League One season.

Edwards’ involvement at Fleetwood Town dates back more than 20 years in numerous roles as a player, reserve team manager and most recently club secretary.

A club spokesman said: “Everyone at the club would like to place on record their sincere thanks for his contribution and would like to wish him all the very best for the future.”
