Schools football: Hodgson show class at Carr Hill
Hodgson emerged 3-1 winners in a high-quality game, played in a great spirit despite tough conditions.
The Poulton school led 1-0 after a tight first half, though the hosts equalised in the second half when Fraser Burton’s cross from the left was headed in by Dan Fryer.

Hide AdCarr Hill had chances to take the lead but Hodgson finished the stronger, scoring twice to seal victory.
Alex McGloughlan netted twice for Hodgson, with Sam Khalif also on target.
Besides two-goal McGloughlan, James Wilde was also outstanding for the victors.
