There's a new Blackpool v PNE rivalry book on the way - here's how to get your name included
A new book charting the rivalry between Blackpool FC and Preston North End is being launched- here’s how you can get your name included in the edition.
Will It Be Blackpool or PNE? is a soon to be released celebration of one of football’s fiercest local rivalries. The 500-page hardback explores the history of the derby, touching on some of the most infamous characters, confrontations, triumphs and heartbreaks over the years.
The book will launch in November, and for a limited time only, Blackpool FC fans have the opportunity to have their name included in a Roll of Honour at the back of the book.
Those who purchase the book before October 23 will receive the honour, and anyone who is purchasing the book as a gift can also add in the name of the recipient by emailing david@legendspublishing.
A spokesperson for Legends Publishing explained more about the book: “From the origins of the rivalry to the unforgettable encounters, from the heroes and villains to the songs, stories and memories of generations of supporters, Will It Be Blackpool or PNE? gets under the skin of a derby that means, quite literally, everything to the people who live it.
“Packed with dozens of photographs, the book captures not simply what happened on the pitch, but what it has meant to live in the towns and communities on either side of the divide as derby day approaches.
“Whether your allegiance is Tangerine or Lilywhite, this is a rivalry you will recognise on every page.”
